Michael-Ray received his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Fitchburg State University. Most recently, he was Portfolio Manager at First Realty Management in Boston and has a broad array of experience managing construction, facility operations, and capital improvement projects at federal, historical, commercial, and residential properties. Michael-Ray lived on Fort Devens and attended elementary school on the active-duty post, prior to his father's retirement from the Army. Michael-Ray also retired from the US Army, where he served in many capacities, including as physical security specialist and as a military police officer, and is a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Michael-Ray resides in Lunenburg, where he is the Vice-Chair of the Select Board and represents his town on a regional planning and transportation committee.

Through these collaborations they help create jobs, increase the number of housing units, revitalize urban environments, and address factors limiting economic growth including transportation, energy, and infrastructure deficiencies.
