Megan Somerville Fredrick has over 17 years of work experience in various Human Resources roles. Megan currently holds the position of VP, HR Transformation & Corporate Functions at Mativ, starting in July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Newell Brands from 2016 to 2022, where they served as Sr. Director, Human Resources and Human Resources Director, among other roles. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at Ignite USA, and from 2008 to 2013, they held the same position at AHIMA. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior HR Generalist at Applus Technologies and as a Strategic Planning and Development Intern at Rush University Medical Center. Megan started their career as a Sales Intern at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in 2004.

Megan Somerville Fredrick received a BA in Psychology and Spanish from Clemson University from 2000 to 2004. Megan then pursued an MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at The Chicago School from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, Megan has obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
