John Sunny

John Sunny, MSc, EIT, is an experienced advanced manufacturing engineer and quality engineer currently employed at Mattr since November 2023. Previously, John worked at Catalyst Paper as a mechanical engineer in training, where responsibilities included inspecting composite pipes and tanks and creating work packages for mill outages. Prior roles include a research and development intern at Mattr, focusing on improving the durability of reinforced thermoplastic piping, and product development innovator at Project Bio6, leading efforts to convert waste materials into biodegradable packaging. John also gained experience as an associate product manager at Swift Innovations Inc. and as a mechanical engineering project coordinator at BPCL Kochi Refinery, managing project schedules for oil and gas pipelines. John holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Thrissur.
