Sam McCarty

Sam McCarty has a diverse work experience. They started their career as a Finance and Accounting Intern at J.G. Wentworth in 2013. They then worked as a Software Engineer at MetLife Global Technology and Operations from 2014 to 2015.

In 2015, Sam joined Wayfair where they held various roles. They started as a Business Intelligence Analyst in 2015 and became an Engineer II in 2017. They then transitioned to an Engineering Manager role in 2018 and later became a Sr. Engineering Manager in 2019. In these roles, Sam led teams of fullstack and data platform engineers, focusing on developing analytical tooling and infrastructure.

In 2021, Sam joined OnRamp as a Senior Software Engineer and worked until June 2022. Currently, they are working at Maven Clinic as a Senior Software Engineer.

Sam McCarty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In December 2019, they also obtained a certification in Kubernetes Administration from The Linux Foundation.
