Dr. Anant Kumar

Dr. Anant Kumar serves as the Director of Urology and Kidney Transplantation at Max Healthcare, a position held since September 2013, and is also a Consultant Urologist at Addenbrooke. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Kumar has performed more than 3,500 kidney transplantations and has specialized in laparoscopic kidney harvesting for the past 18 years, including over 2,000 laparoscopic donor nephrectomies. Previously, Dr. Kumar held the role of Professor and Head of the Department at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute, where the urology department gained international recognition. Other notable positions include Director of Urology, Robotics, and Transplantation at Fortis Group of Hospitals and Senior Consultant at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals. Dr. Kumar's educational background includes degrees in Medicine and Surgery and specialized training in Urology from prestigious institutions in India and the USA.
