Don Sparrow has a strong background in finance and accounting. Don started their career as a Staff Accountant at Greene, Skidmore, Smith and Company in 1981. Don then moved on to Thomas, Knight, Trent, King and Company, where they worked as a CPA from 1983 to 1987. After that, they became the Controller at Adams McCullough & Beard, a well-respected law firm that later merged with Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein. In 1988, Sparrow joined Jaakko Poyry, Inc. as a Treasurer, and later transitioned to the role of Chief Financial Officer at McAdams in 1993.
Don Sparrow obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where they studied from 1976 to 1980. Don also holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant, although the institutions and exact dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
