Sultan Abid

Sultan Abid is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in the banking and finance sector. Currently serving as SVP & Head of Department for SBP & LEAs Compliance at MCB Bank Limited since July 2021, Sultan plays a key role in ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and acts as a liaison between the bank, the State Bank of Pakistan, and law enforcement agencies. Prior to this, Sultan held the position of Head of Compliance at Pak Brunei Investment Company Ltd from 2008 to 2021, where responsibilities included establishing compliance frameworks and overseeing compliance functions for multiple subsidiaries. Sultan's career began at the State Bank of Pakistan, where roles included Assistant Director in the Banking Inspection Department and Regulating Officer in the Banking Supervision Department, focusing on the evaluation of banking operations and management of significant funds under a government project. Sultan holds an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
