Sergio Cecchini

Sergio Cecchini currently serves as the Humanitarian Representative to the European Union and NATO for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) since October 2023, following a tenure as Country Representative for MSF Belgium from October 2022 to September 2023. With extensive experience in strategic planning and communication in the humanitarian sector, Sergio has held various leadership roles including Infodemic Management Officer at the World Health Organization from May 2021 to August 2022, and Director of Communication and Fundraising at MSF Belgium from September 2014 to September 2020. Notable achievements include significant media coverage increases and the development of impactful advocacy campaigns during crises. Sergio's educational background includes a PGD in Global Security and Strategy from SOAS University of London and a Master of Science in Communication Science from Sapienza Università di Roma.
