James Liu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as a Senior Software Development Manager at Mediaocean since July 2019, James has successfully led significant migrations to AWS, overseeing approximately 75 servers and 100 TB of data across multiple databases. Previously, James worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington's Full Stack Web Development Boot Camp and as a Web Development Student at General Assembly. Earlier legal experience includes roles as an Associate at The Law Office of William J. Factor, Ltd., and a Law Clerk at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, where James drafted complex legal opinions. James holds an AB and MA in Philosophy from the University of Chicago and The New School, respectively, as well as a JD from the University of Illinois College of Law.
