Joel Mawhinney

Joel Mawhinney is an experienced engineering professional specializing in electronics and embedded systems. Currently serving as a New Product Introduction Engineer at Parker Meggitt since February 2020, Joel supports the development of brushless motor driven actuators and valves, advising on electronics, software design, and certification processes. As the Founder of Electroventures Consulting LLC since January 2019, Joel provides electronic design services focused on motor controls and power conversion for the aerospace sector. Prior roles include Senior Electronics and Embedded Software Engineer at Meggitt Control Systems, where Joel worked on electromechanical system designs, and Senior Embedded Systems Engineer at Precision Engine Controls. Joel began the engineering career as an Electrical Engineering Co-op at Eaton Corporation, focusing on motor monitoring and control electronics. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on microprocessors and power electronics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
