Ashim Bajwa

Ashim Bajwa possesses extensive experience in IT risk management, cybersecurity, and military operations. At Merck from May 2023 to June 2025, Ashim served as Associate Director of IT Risk Management and Security and as Manager of Cybersecurity Operations, also participating in the Merck Fellowship: Hiring Our Heroes internship. Prior to this, Ashim worked at the National Security Agency from January 2020 to January 2023 as Deputy Chief Operations Officer and Engagement Officer in Cyber Risk Management, and served as Battle Watch Captain within the Fleet Information Operations Command under the US Navy. Ashim's military career spanned from January 2017 to January 2023, holding the position of Officer and Assistant Operations Officer with Command Submarine Squadron 2020. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy (2013-2017) and a Master's degree in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University (2021-2023).
