Janelle Derbis

Janelle Derbis currently serves as the Director of Global Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Safety at Merck, a position held since November 2021, where responsibilities include leading regulatory activities, addressing marketed product shortages and deletions, and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations. Prior to joining Merck, Janelle Derbis spent over two decades at the FDA from October 2000 to May 2021, contributing to drug safety policy, coordinating outreach strategies for the Office of Health and Constituent Affairs, and engaging with patient advocates in the Office of Special Health Issues. Janelle Derbis earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Drake University between 1993 and 1999.
