Jun Liu

Jun Liu is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in pharmacology and drug discovery. Currently serving as Senior Scientist at Merck since 2021, Jun Liu has previously held positions as Associate Scientist at Acceleron Pharma, where the focus was on drug discovery for cardiometabolic and fibrotic diseases. Earlier career roles include Lab Manager and Staff Research Associate II at the University of California, San Diego, where research concentrated on transmissible spongiform encephalopathies and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as a Research Associate and Customer Specialist at Eton Bioscience, Inc., conducting various molecular and cellular experiments. Jun Liu's career began as a Part Time Research Associate at JAJ International, Inc., developing clinical diagnostic assays, and as a Resident Physician at Shanghai HuangPu District Hospital. Jun Liu holds a Doctor of Medicine degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Master of Science in TCM from South Baylo University.
