Nisha Modi

Nisha Modi is a Senior Scientist at Merck, specializing in Sterile Product Development since November 2024. Nisha completed a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, where research focused on droplet size control through pH-dependent phase separation, under the guidance of Allie Obermeyer and Kyle Bishop. Prior roles include Graduate Student Researcher at Columbia University, focusing on bacterial cell culture optimization, and research internships at institutions such as UCT Prague, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, and the University of Belgrade, where Nisha gained experience in supramolecular chemistry, pharmaceutical formulation, explosive safety evaluations, and soil and organic sample analysis. Nisha holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering, both from Columbia University and Manipal Institute of Technology, respectively.
