Matt Presser

AVP of Institutional Research & Innovation at Mercy College

Matt Presser currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Research and Innovation at Mercy University, a position held since 2020. Prior to this, Matt held the role of Leader in Residence at Southern New Hampshire University, where notable achievements included designing innovative hybrid-college programs to support DREAMers. Academically, Matt was a Doctoral Candidate at Harvard University Graduate School of Education, earning a Doctorate in Education Leadership, and receiving multiple honors, including the Presidential Public Service Fellowship. Earlier professional experiences include a Teaching Ambassador Fellow with the U.S. Department of Education, and a seven-year tenure as a Teacher and Instructional Coach in New Haven Public Schools, where significant improvements in student literacy were achieved. Matt’s education includes a Master of Arts in Urban Education Studies from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University.
