Tara Nichols is an experienced educator with a strong background in mathematics instruction and curriculum development. Currently serving as the Director of Elementary Teaching and Learning at Mesquite Independent School District since July 2009, Tara oversees the district's mathematics department, providing comprehensive curriculum support for teachers from kindergarten through grade 12. Previous roles include ESL Mathematics Consultant at Region 10 ESC and Middle School Mathematics Facilitator at Garland Independent School District, along with experience as a Mathematics Teacher at Richardson North Junior High School. Tara earned a Master’s Degree in Secondary Math Teaching from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of North Texas.
