Killian Murphy is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and product management, currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Meta since July 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing a 300+ person organization focused on Developer Experience and Platforms. Murphy’s prior roles at Meta included Engineering Director, managing core Developer Platforms and Open Source teams, as well as Senior Engineering Manager for the Web Speed & Infra team. With a diverse background that includes consultancy work at Azure Capital Partners and independent projects in cloud application development, Murphy has also held significant positions at VMware, Credit Suisse, and Viaclix, accumulating a wealth of expertise in cloud computing, application software, and engineering leadership. Murphy holds a BA in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin.
