Nelson Nan Shen

Nelson Nan Shen is an experienced professional in risk strategy and quantitative analysis, currently serving as the Director of Market Risk Strategy at MetLife since January 2023. Prior to this role, Nelson held the position of Senior Quantitative Analyst at FirstEnergy from February 2011 to January 2023, where responsibilities included developing methodologies for deal structuring and pricing, managing unregulated business risks, and building various risk models. Nelson also worked as a Quantitative Analyst at Allegheny Energy from October 2008 to February 2011 and co-founded Jiuzhou Express Medical Device LLC between July 2004 and June 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Operations Research from Columbia Engineering (2006-2008) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Jilin University (2000-2004).
