Tom McCarthy

Tom McCarthy is a seasoned labor and employment law professional with extensive experience in advising on legal matters related to human resources and business operations. Currently serving as Senior Counsel for MetLife since March 2023, McCarthy plays a pivotal role in providing strategic legal counsel that supports the company's global activities. Prior to this position, McCarthy worked at Goodwin as an Associate, where the focus was on developing employment policies and representing employers in various disputes. McCarthy's experience also includes a tenure at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, advising diverse clients on labor and employment issues. Earlier roles included internships and positions focused on adjudicating labor disputes and conducting internal investigations. McCarthy holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in Government from Harvard University.
