Metlifecare
Tanya joined the Metlifecare team as Clinical Nurse Director in July 2015 after eight years at Waitemata District Health Board. She is a New Zealand trained registered nurse with over 20 years’ experience working in teams caring for and supporting older adults.
Combining knowledge and skills from degrees in nursing and commerce, Tanya has held clinical, management, leadership and consulting roles within the aged care sector. Completing a Clinical Masters in Health Sciences at the University of Auckland, Tanya has a special interest in supporting older adults to maintain their preferred lifestyle and stay well in the community and was actively involved in research as a Gerontology Nurse Specialist to reduce avoidable admissions to hospital.
