Al Arafat

Al Arafat is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and geotechnical engineering. Currently serving as Technical Review Lead and Project Manager-Track at Metrolinx since May 2021, Al Arafat specializes in technical reviews, construction compliance, and asset management. Previous roles include Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager at SNC-Lavalin, where responsibilities encompassed project management, budget oversight, and team building, and Geotechnical Engineering Specialist, focusing on project coordination and fieldwork supervision. With a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from York University and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Al Arafat has a solid foundation in engineering principles reinforced through research and education. Early career experience includes roles at prominent firms in Bangladesh, where Al Arafat gained expertise in structural design and consulting.
