Meritxell Font Bou is an experienced transportation planner with a robust background in ridership analysis and forecasting, currently serving as the Director of Ridership Analysis and Forecasting at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority since February 2022. Previously, Meritxell held various roles with Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates, culminating in the position of Principal, where leadership in transportation planning and mobility studies was provided across the US and internationally. As an Independent Consultant, Meritxell established a consulting firm offering transportation planning services, and has contributed to multiple organizations including the California Department of Transportation and the European Investment Bank. Meritxell holds a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a Postgrade in Business Planning from Esade, and completed a training course in Synchro and SimTraffic at ITS UC Berkeley.
