Bree Farrugia, LL.M, serves as the General Counsel for Micro-X since 2019, where responsibilities include developing legal strategies that support innovative imaging technology products within complex regulatory environments. Prior to this role, Bree served as Senior Corporate Counsel for Toyota Tsusho Group, providing strategic legal resources across its global subsidiaries, and held a Senior Associate position at Herbert Smith Freehills, focusing on multinational corporate advisement and handling high-value cross-border disputes. Earlier experience includes serving as Legal Counsel at UNOPS, where Bree developed legal frameworks for large-scale projects, and as a Legal Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills, offering legal advice across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. Bree holds an LL.M from Paris-Pantheon-Assas University, an LLB, and a BA from the University of Technology Sydney.

Micro-X was founded in 2011 in Victoria by current Managing Director, Peter Rowland, to commercialise the miniaturisation benefits of CNT x-ray tubes in mobile radiography.The CNT technology partnership with XinRay Systems was begun in 2013 and an exclusive Heads-of-Agreement was signed with Carestream Health Inc of Rochester, New York, inrespect of development collaboration and global distribution of the first mobile medical x-ray product in 2014.Richard Hannebery joined as a Director in 2014 and arranged Series A and B funding tranches of $13M which allowed full-scale engineering development of the x-ray product to commence early in that year.Micro-X Pty Ltd became a public company, Micro-X Ltd, in October 2015 and Lodge Partners led a $20M IPO on the ASX in December of that year.
