Somjit Nath

Somjit Nath is currently an intern at Microsoft Research since May 2025 and serves as a Graduate Student Researcher at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute since January 2022. Previously, Somjit held roles including Scientist in Residence at 4DiVISION, Machine Learning Research Intern at RBC Borealis, and Researcher at Tata Consultancy Services, where successful applications of Reinforcement Learning techniques led to significant improvements in supply chain inventory management. Somjit has also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Alberta, contributing to the education of numerous students. Somjit's academic background includes pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at McGill University, a Master of Science in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University.
