John Tipper

John Tipper is an experienced SRE and internal AWS Solutions Architect/Cloud Engineer currently working at Millennium since September 2021, focusing on developing AWS solutions for portfolio management teams. Prior roles include serving as an SRE and Cloud Architect/Engineer at MAIA Technology Limited and Fulcrum Asset Management, where responsibilities involved migrating proprietary systems to AWS. Tipper has also worked on building real-time streaming Big Data platforms in the investment banking sector, as well as holding significant roles in software engineering, operations, and aerospace. Tipper's technical expertise encompasses cloud solutions, data streaming technologies, and systems architecture, along with a strong background in aviation and military service as a helicopter pilot in the Royal Air Force. Tipper holds an MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol and has undergone officer training at the RAF College Cranwell.
