Director Food Science And Risk Assessment at Ministry for Primary Industries

Claire McDonald currently serves as the Manager of Operational Research at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), having held various roles within the organization since May 2013, including Senior Advisor and Adviser in the Plants and Pathways Team. Prior to MPI, Claire worked as a Research Associate in Statistical Ecology at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology from January 2010 to March 2013 and as a Research Assistant in Palaeoenvironments at the University of Leeds from October 2008 to December 2009. Claire holds a PhD in Palaeoecology of Antarctica and entomology and an MSc in Conservation & Biodiversity, both from the University of Leeds, as well as a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from the University of Glasgow.
