Waleed Zain alabdeen Fentyanh is an experienced professional in cultural heritage and tourism sectors. Currently serving as Project Manager for the Underwater Cultural Heritage Exploration at the Ministry of Culture since January 2020, Waleed oversees awareness projects related to national heritage. Prior experience includes significant roles at the Saudi Commission for Tourism & Antiquities from June 2008 to April 2020, focusing on research and program development, along with managing ecotourism projects and leading the LNT program. Waleed's earlier positions include serving as Secretary to the Director at the Saud Wildlife Authority and as a trained ecotourism instructor at the Training Center for Resources Conservation. Waleed holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and a diploma in Leave No Trace & Saudi Wilderness Skills from NOLS.

Overseeing 11 sector-specific commissions, the Ministry is leading a cultural transformation to develop a rich ecosystem that nurtures creativity, unlocks the economic potential of the sector and unleashes new and inspiring forms of expression. تم انشاء وزارة الثقافة بالمملكة العربية السعودية في 17 رمضان 1439هـ الموافق 2 يونيو 2018 بموجب أمر ملكي، وتم تعيين صاحب السمو الأمير بدر بن عبدالله بن فرحان آل سعود كأول وزير للثقافة في المملكة العربية السعودية. تتمثل رؤية الوزارة في أن تزدهر المملكة العربية السعودية بمختلف ألوان الثقافة، لتثري نمط حياة الفرد، وتسهم في تعزيز الهوية الوطنية، وتشجع الحوار الثقافي مع العالم.
