Brian Swanson

Brian Swanson currently serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Facilities at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, overseeing facilities management, capital budgeting, planning, design and construction, real estate, public safety, health and safety, and risk management for the largest state college and university system in Minnesota. Prior to this role, Brian worked at the University of Minnesota, where positions included Assistant Vice President of Finance and Systems, Budget Officer and Capital Budget Coordinator, and Program Manager for the TCF Bank Stadium and East Gateway District Projects. In these roles, responsibilities encompassed managing budgets, analyzing programmatic issues, and leading significant capital improvement projects totaling over $320 million. Brian's earlier career included an industrial engineering position at CNH Industrial. Educational credentials include a Master of Urban Planning and Public Policy from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
