Lydia Nelson

Lydia Nelson is an accomplished textile designer with extensive experience in fabric design, authoring, and creative entrepreneurship. Currently a textile designer at Moda Fabrics and United Notions since November 2015, Lydia specializes in children's fabric, transforming hand-drawn sketches into digital patterns using Adobe software. Lydia authored and designed "Dreamy Quilts," developing 14 projects from conception to completion, and has contributed to Where Women Create Magazine as a featured artist. In addition, Lydia co-founded Mockingbird Moon Yarn, where responsibilities included researching yarns, teaching knitting classes, and attending trade shows. Previous roles include logistics planning at Walmart and global purchasing internships at Caterpillar Inc., alongside a degree in Management and Finance from Purdue University and further studies at Kansas State University.
