Ernest Lunsford has extensive experience in building design and construction, currently serving as the Chief of the Division of Building Design and Construction for Montgomery County since March 2009, responsible for the planning, design, and construction of county government facilities. Prior to this role, Ernest worked as the Chief of Engineering Services for the FDA from January 2006 to December 2008, providing nationwide engineering support. Earlier in his career, Ernest gained hands-on experience as a Laborer for the Manassas Virginia Department of Public Works in 1965, where responsibilities included installing water services to new homes. Ernest holds a High School Diploma from Osbourn High School, attended from 1960 to 1965, and pursued higher education at Duke University from 1965 to 1969.
