Matthew Gilson

Matthew Gilson is an experienced financial crime analyst currently serving as the Lead Financial Crime Analyst at Monzo Bank since July 2017. Prior to this role, Matthew worked for the City of London Police from March 2014 to July 2017 as an Intelligence Analyst and Financial Intelligence Officer, focusing on the Joint Money Laundering Intelligence Task-force and the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau. Matthew has a strong belief in the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and financial institutions to combat money laundering in the UK. Matthew began their career as an Intelligence Support Officer at Essex Police from March 2011 to March 2014. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Managerial Economics from the University of Essex.
