John Koessler

John Koessler is an experienced freelance writer and educator with a long-standing association with Moody Bible Institute since 1994, where responsibilities include serving as a contributing editor for the devotional publication Today in the Word and teaching in the division of applied theology and church ministry. Koessler also brings pastoral experience from Valley Chapel in Green Valley, IL, where service spanned nine years. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity International University and multiple degrees from Missio Seminary, as well as a BA in Psychology from Wayne State University. Additionally, contributions include writing for A Stranger in the House of God Podcast and serving as a consulting editor for Moody Magazine until its cessation in 2003.
