Morgridge Institute for Research
Rupsa Datta is an experienced biomedical engineer with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from UC Irvine, earned in 2016. Rupsa's professional history includes roles at the Morgridge Institute for Research as an Associate Scientist, Assistant Scientist, and Postdoctoral Researcher since February 2017. Prior to this, Rupsa worked as an Assistant Specialist at the University of California, Irvine from October 2016 to January 2017. Educational qualifications also include a Master’s degree from Jadavpur University and a Bachelor of Science from West Bengal University of Technology, both in Biomedical Engineering. Early education was completed at La Martiniere for Girls.

The Morgridge Institute for Research is a nonprofit biomedical institute exploring uncharted scientific territory to discover tomorrow’s cures. Morgridge works to improve human health through innovative, interdisciplinary biomedical discoveries, spark scientific curiosity and serve society through translational outcomes, in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Research areas include regenerative biology and bioinformatics, virology, medical engineering, metabolism, core computational technology and bioethics.
