Umair Wajid Khan is a Senior Scientist at Invenra since January 2022, following a previous role as Scientist. Prior to this, Umair served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from August 2016 to December 2021. Umair's early research experience includes positions as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from January 2014 to July 2016. Umair holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Science (MS) in Biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The Morgridge Institute for Research is a nonprofit biomedical institute exploring uncharted scientific territory to discover tomorrow’s cures. Morgridge works to improve human health through innovative, interdisciplinary biomedical discoveries, spark scientific curiosity and serve society through translational outcomes, in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Research areas include regenerative biology and bioinformatics, virology, medical engineering, metabolism, core computational technology and bioethics.
