Rhys Bortignon

Rhys Bortignon is a partner at Morrison Foerster, specializing in Capital Markets and serving as a member of the Derivatives + Commodities group since April 2024. With extensive experience that includes serving as counsel at White & Case LLP from March 2015 to April 2024, Rhys has advised numerous US and international clients on various derivative transactions, repo and securities lending transactions, and structured products. Previous roles include associate positions at Linklaters and Baker & McKenzie, focusing on derivatives and structured transactions. Rhys began their career as a consultant at EY in international tax. Rhys holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Sydney, as well as both a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and Bachelor's degrees in Law and Commerce/Economics from the University of Wollongong.
