Silje Wetrhus Hebnes has had a diverse work experience. Starting in 2016, they worked as a cleaner at Kruse Smith until 2017. In 2017, they became a part-time employee at Coop Norge until 2019. From 2018 to 2018, they worked as an office assistant at Faroe Petroleum. In 2019, they became the leader of Campustinget i Narvik at CAMPUSTINGET I NARVIK until 2020. Silje Wetrhus also worked as a student ambassador at UiTstudent from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they joined Align Racing UiA as the Chief Marketing Officer until 2021. From 2020 to 2021, they were a student ambassador at Universitetet i Agder (UiA) and also served as a mentor in optics and wave physics. In 2021, they worked in communications and social media at Studentsamskipnaden i Agder until 2021. Silje Wetrhus is currently working as a Process Engineer at Morrow Batteries since 2022. Additionally, they were part of the REXUS/BEXUS program from 2019 to 2021, where they worked on the RaPTeX - Radiologic Particle Telescope eXperiment.

Silje Wetrhus Hebnes has a strong educational background in engineering. Silje Wetrhus completed their Master's degree in Mechatronics from the University of Agder (UiA) from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Satellite engineering from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway, which they pursued from 2017 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Silje Wetrhus Hebnes has also obtained two certifications in Six Sigma. Silje Wetrhus completed the Six Sigma: Green Belt certification from LinkedIn in May 2023 and the Six Sigma: White Belt certification, also from LinkedIn, in the same month and year.
