John Mercurio has a diverse and extensive work experience in communications and media. John has held various leadership positions, including Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Communications at the Motion Picture Association. John was also the Global Head of Communications & Marketing at INATBA, where they led all communications and marketing functions for the global organization. Before that, they served as the Chief Communications Officer at Bitfury, where they led strategic global communications for the emerging technologies company. John has also worked in public relations and public affairs roles at Purple Strategies and Burson-Marsteller, where they developed and executed communications strategies for corporate and nonprofit clients. Earlier in their career, they were the Executive Editor of The Hotline at National Journal and a Political Editor at CNN, where they reported on U.S. politics and government. John has also worked as a Senior Staff Writer at CQ Roll Call, covering congressional campaigns and elections. Additionally, they have delivered lectures on U.S. politics and the 2008 presidential campaign as a Guest Lecturer for the U.S. Department of State.

John Mercurio has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, International Relations, and English from Boston University.
