Along with liberal arts and sciences, professional programs are offered in business administration, information technology, public relations, tourism and hospitality management, family studies and gerontology, nutrition, and child and youth study. Mount Saint Vincent is also known for its teacher education programs at the bachelor's and master's levels. Distance learning via various technologies and off-site course delivery support the University's long-standing commitment to accessibility. More than 100 courses are currently offered online and via other technologies. Whether on campus or off, the University strives to provide every opportunity for student success. Co-operative education, internships and practicum placements are incorporated in many programs. International students are an important part of the Mount community, with students from more than 50 countries enrolled in its courses. The University welcomes the diversity of perspectives and offers a safe, clean and affordable alternative for students from around the globe. Help is available for international students through an International Student Advisor in the Department of Student Affairs, and an English Language Cultural Immersion Program offered in August each year. The University opens its doors to the community in a number of other ways as well, with resources like its Centre for Women in Business, a business development centre for women entrepreneurs.
