Zack Fredin

Zack Fredin, PE, is an Associate Teaching Professor and Research Engineer at Michigan Technological University, where responsibilities include leading bridge load rating projects for the Michigan Department of Transportation and serving as a subject matter expert in AASHTOWare BrR software. Additionally, Zack is an Adjunct Faculty Instructor for transportation and railroad engineering courses, and coordinates the Enterprise Program to align student projects with corporate sponsors while managing ABET accreditation. Previous experience includes roles as a Civil/Structural Engineer and Municipal Engineer at OHM Advisors, where Zack developed plans and performed construction management for various projects, as well as internships at BNSF Railway, focusing on bridge inspections and track maintenance. Zack holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
