Jamie Harmening

Jamie Harmening is a skilled professional with extensive experience in coaching, training, and management. As the owner of Capstan Coaching since August 2022, Jamie specializes in supporting personal, professional, relationship, and health goals. Concurrently, as the Training and Development Coordinator for Multnomah County since February 2021, Jamie provides training and leadership development to over 600 employees. Prior roles include Director of Program Management for Submarine Squadron 19 in the US Navy, overseeing operations and human resources for multiple organizations, and serving as Department Manager for USS MICHIGAN, responsible for operations involving national security. Jamie also acted as Program Manager for Submarine Group EIGHT in the UK, facilitating U.S., UK, and French military operations. Jamie holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Studies from Brandman University, complemented by additional higher education credentials.
