Bubnov Aleksandr has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Bubnov started their career at Royal Wagenborg in 2002 as a motormen, 3rd Engineer, and eventually became a 2nd Engineer. In 2006, they joined Anthony Veder Rederijzaken BV as a 2nd Engineer. Bubnov then worked at CISS GROUP Ltd. from 2016 to 2017 as an Independent Technical Advisor. In 2008, they joined Columbia Shipmanagement as a Chief Engineer and stayed with the company until 2017. Most recently, they have been working at NAKILAT, where they first held the role of 2nd Engineer and is currently working as a Chief Engineer.

Bubnov Aleksandr completed their Master's degree in the field of exploitation of marine energy and refrigeration plants from Odesa National Maritime Academy. In June 2009, they obtained a certification as a First class Engineer/ Chief Engineer on a ship powered by main propulsion machinery of 3000 kW or more from Odessa State Marine Academy.
