Nigel Pickett is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Nanoco Technologies, a position held since January 2000, where Nigel leads the technology team and is known for inventing the company's key quantum dot scale-up technology. Prior to this, Nigel served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2000, focusing on the design and evaluation of precursors used in MOVPE. Nigel's academic journey includes a JSPS fellowship at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in 1996, a postdoctoral fellowship at St. Andrews University from 1994 to 1996 specializing in precursor design for MOVPE and nanoparticle synthesis, and educational qualifications comprising a Ph.D. and BSc in Chemistry from Newcastle University, achieved in 1994 and 1991, respectively.
