Hugo Moreno is an experienced professional in quantitative biology and cellular biology, currently serving as Quantitative Biology Lead at Nanolive SA since September 2018, after progressing through roles as Senior Biologist and Cellular Biology and R&D Engineer. Hugo’s academic background includes a Master’s degree in Molecular Medicine and System Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. Previous experience includes an R&D Internship at SteriLux SA, focusing on ozone production and environmental chamber development, along with a laboratory internship at the Global Health Institute under Professor Bruno Lemaitre, exploring immune response genes in Drosophila Melanogaster. Notably, a contribution to the Biomimicry Global Design Challenge earned a team second place with an innovative design for a bioinspired electric patch. Nanolive SA was incorporated in November 2013 at the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne, Switzerland, by Dr. Yann Cotte (CEO) and Dr. Fatih Toy (scientific advisor), following the completion of their respective PhD theses at the EPFL Microsystems laboratory of Prof. Christian Depeursinge (Head of Scientific Advisory Board).
