Joseph Pelfrey is an experienced aerospace engineer and current Center Director of NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, a position held since June 2018. Pelfrey has an extensive background at NASA, serving in various roles including Deputy Center Director and Manager of the Human Exploration Development & Operations Office. Prior to these roles, Pelfrey held positions such as Associate Director of Operations and Manager of the Exploration and Space Transportation Development Office. Early career experience includes Project Manager for the ISS Facility Rack Project and a Systems Engineer role. Pelfrey holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University, completed in 2000.
