Steve O'Donnell has a diverse work experience with various roles in different companies. Steve started their career in 1992 as an Account Manager at Allnet Communications. In 1993, they became the Director of Operations at Daytona Tortugas Professional Baseball before transitioning to the role of an Account Manager. Steve then joined Florida Citrus Sports as an Account Manager in 1995. In 1996, they started working at NASCAR, where they held various positions, including Manager of Marketing Services, Director of Racing Operations, Managing Director of Racing Operations, Vice President of Racing Operations, Senior Vice President of Racing Development, Executive Vice President and Chief Racing Development Officer. Currently, they serve as the Chief Operating Officer at NASCAR.

Steve O'Donnell attended Cairo American College from 1981 to 1987. Steve then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Business Administration at Rollins College from 1988 to 1991.
