Vakhtang Balavadze is a highly experienced civil engineer and academic with extensive leadership roles in both industry and education. Currently serving as the Director/Senior Civil Engineer at Georgian Engineering Business Group-GEBG and Co-Founder of HVL Engineering Group LLC, Vakhtang also holds multiple positions at Ilia State University, including Director of Civil Engineering Research Centers and Professor. With a strong background in civil engineering, Vakhtang has been involved in various capacities at institutions such as the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement as an Accreditation Expert and as a Business Partner at Kavtransproject (KTP) LLC. Previous experience includes founding an engineering consulting company, Force LLC, and holding several teaching and administrative positions at Georgian Technical University. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Technical Sciences and a Master's Degree in Construction Management, both from Georgian Technical University.

National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement
The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement is the only educational quality assurance body in Georgia established by the Law on Educational Quality Enhancement in 2010. The mission of the NCEQE is to support education quality enhancement and quality-oriented governance of educational institutions at national level in Georgia. the core functions of the NCEQE are: implementation of external quality assurance mechanisms of all educational institutions (higher education institutions, vocational education institutions, general and pre-school education institutions) operating in the country, development and maintaining of the national qualifications framework, and recognition of qualifications acquired in other countries. With its expertise the NCEQE supports policymakers, educational institutions and students and develops international partnerships for enhancing quality of education provision.
