Steve Newton has extensive experience in the field of electrical testing and training, currently serving as the Training Program Manager at National Field Services, Inc. since January 2014. In this role, Steve develops standards and practices for electrical power testing, establishes a nationally accredited training center in Lewisville, Texas, and provides educational programs for clients and personnel. Prior to this, Steve held various positions at Testronics, including Technical Support and Senior Engineering Technician, where responsibilities included developing training programs and overseeing technical support. Additionally, Steve worked as Technical Director and Senior Technician at ECP Tech Services, Inc., and served as Testing Foreman at Testronics earlier in the career, with a focus on electrical generation, transmission, and distribution systems. Steve's foundational education includes service in the U.S. Naval Submarine Service from 1977 to 1990.

National Field Services opened for business in 1996, with a focus on providing regional customers with heavy onsite equipment testing, commissioning and startup services. We have since expanded into offering engineering, maintenance, disaster recovery, protection and control, NFPA 70E implementation, electrical asset management and electrical consulting services, in addition to safety and technical training. In that time we have also expanded our service region. From our three offices in Texas and two offices in Nevada, we serve much of the southern and western United States and have the ability to mobilize to any other region of the country as well.
