Tom McDonald

Tom McDonald currently serves as Executive Vice President at National Geographic, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this role, McDonald was Managing Director of Factual Productions at BBC Studios Ltd from January 2020 to June 2022 and held various positions at BBC, including Head of Commissioning for Natural History & Specialist Factual from September 2012 to February 2020 and Commissioning Executive. McDonald also worked as Senior Executive Producer at The Garden Productions, where involvement in the award-winning Series 2 and Series 3 of Channel 4's documentary series 24 Hours in A&E was notable. McDonald holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Cambridge, earned between 1997 and 2001.
