Brendan H. is an accomplished professional in the biopharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving on the Business Advisory Council at Pangaea Life Science Solutions, the Scientific Advisory Board at Avantor, and the Board of Directors at NIBRT National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training, Brendan chairs both the Scientific Advisory Board and the Audit and Risk Committee at NIBRT. Previously, Brendan held key positions at Bristol Myers Squibb from 2012 to 2022 as Senior Vice President of Global Manufacturing Operations and Vice President of Manufacturing Sciences and Technology, among others. Brendan also contributed to Pfizer and GSK in senior leadership capacities, overseeing vaccine and biologics portfolios, and has a foundation in research with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Galway.

The National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) is a global centre of excellence for training and research in bioprocessing. NIBRT is located in a new, world class facility in Dublin, Ireland. This facility is purpose built to closely replicate a modern bioprocessing plant with state of the art equipment. NIBRT is based on an innovative collaboration between University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin City University and the Institute of Technology, Sligo. NIBRT was primarily funded by the Government of Ireland through Ireland’s inward investment promotion agency, IDA Ireland (Industrial Development Agency), which is responsible for the attraction and development of foreign investment in Ireland.
