Michelle Mainelli

Michelle Mainelli currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Administrator and Deputy Director of the National Weather Service at NOAA, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this role, Michelle acted as the Deputy Assistant Administrator from April 2023 to November 2023 and directed the National Weather Service Office of Dissemination from April 2018 to March 2023, overseeing programmatic and budgetary responsibilities for NWS Dissemination Services. Michelle has a rich history at the National Weather Service, including positions such as Acting Director of the Office of Dissemination and Deputy Director of NCEP Central Operations. With extensive experience in meteorology, Michelle holds several degrees, including an MBA in Technology Management and a Master's in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography.
